Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NET 2011 December Exam

CSIR will be conducting the UGC NET exam on 18th December 2011. The sale of information bulletin by post would close on 30 September whereas the last date for sale against cash at the branch is 5 September 2011.

Eligibility for CSIR NET

The test is conducted twice a year to test the ability of the candidates for determining the eligibility for appointment of lecturers. But the eligibility to take the CSIR NET examination is as follows:

  • M.Sc. or Equivalent degree in any one of the given set of subjects*.
  • Minimum 55% aggregate marks for General & OBC candidates.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. degree holders who had passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991.
  • Candidates in their final year or those who have their result awaited can also apply.
  • For JRF NET a candidate must be of minimum 19 years of age as on 01.07.2011.
  • The upper age limit is 28 years (as on 01-07-2011).
  • This age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

    i have pass M.Sc. Exm. 1997 and our age 37 ,send me sugg. i elagible for CSIR Net or not
